:small dogs
I got this emailed to me and I thought that I would include it in Nicks Blog. It just goes to show that no matter the size of the dog that you choose. He will still be part of your family.
My husband and I decided ten years ago when we own our own home we would get a dog. The problem is that I am pretty sure that he will want to get something like a gold retriever. Though I think they are great dogs, I will most likely want a small dog like the one that my mom has. I love my mom’s dog, and I can’t imagine having a huge dog running around my house. Though I think I would fall in love with any dog at first site, I do hope I can find a small one that we can all agree upon. What is nice now is that there are so many cute small dog clothes that are available.
The small dog my mom has sits very easily in my lap, and she will sit there for hours if I am watching a movie with my parents. She is easy to deal with, and she doesn’t rip my arms off when I am taking her for a walk. Though for a small dog, she sure does have some strength when she is finally let outside. My mom has a bad back so she can’t take her out as often as she wants to. When she does get out, she goes nuts. That is why we got her some small dog toys that were made especially for her.
I think my husband likes my mom’s small dog, but I’m not sure he will agree when I tell him that I want us to get one. One of the biggest reasons I think it would be the best idea to get a small dog is because we have cats. My cats are not used to dogs, and I think they would be able to get used to a small dog a lot quicker than they would a larger dog. A large dog that runs around the house in great excitement might just be too much for them.
I may or may not get my small dog, but I think I will love any dog that we end up getting. I love my cats, but there is room in our family for a dog as well. My cats won’t like it, but they will just have to get used to it. Small dog or big dog, it doesn’t matter as long as we have one that we can love. My daughter is looking forward to the day that we can have a dog, and dress her up in dog clothes.
